RADICAL LOVE AND COMPASSION

Some say Jesus was radical — a rule-breaker in all the right ways. He reached out to the marginalized, fed the hungry, healed the sick, and stood with those the world often ignored. His love didn’t follow boundaries. It didn’t measure worth by status, wealth, or reputation. It simply poured out, freely and fully.

Let’s look at Matthew 25:35–36:
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger, and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison, and you came to me.”

Pause and imagine this scene. Jesus is painting a picture — a kingdom where the measure of love isn’t words, titles, or appearances, but action. Every act of mercy matters. Every small step of kindness, every gesture of compassion, is noticed by Him.

Think about today. Our neighbors may not be imprisoned, but some are lonely. Some are hungry—not just for food, but for hope. Some are broken—not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, socially. Jesus calls us to see them, to step into their lives, and to meet them where they are.

I’ll be honest—sometimes I feel small. Sometimes I look at the world’s pain and think, “I can’t fix all this.” But God whispers, “Start with one heart. Start with the one I place before you today.” That’s radical love. It’s not about doing everything; it’s about being present, being willing, and letting His love flow through you.

Challenge for the Week:
Ask God to show you one person who needs a small act of love—a meal, a note, a listening ear, a prayer. Then do it. Watch how something small can become a ripple of His mercy.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to love like You love—without hesitation, without counting the cost. Help me notice the hurting around me and give me courage to step in with compassion. Let my actions reflect Your heart today, so others may see You through me. Amen.

You are the Surprise!

Sometimes God puts you exactly where you’re needed, not because of your power, talent, or perfection, but because He wants to show His love through you. The person in need might never know—but you are His hands in motion.
